Meet the Team


LOGO KEA SHIPWRECKS with black lines-MEDIUMThe Organizing Team responsible for the three day commemorative event in Kea Island, Cyclades, Greece during the weekend of Friday 30th September to Sunday 2nd October 2016, celebrating the “100 Years from the Sinking’s of S/S BURDIGALA & HMHS BRITANNIC” is:

  • Chairman, the Hon. Mayor of Kea Yiannis Evangelou
  • Byron E. Riginos, President, also President of the NGO Friends of Kea Society-SFK.
  • Dimitri Galon, Head of the Technical Committee, an experienced Technical Diver, he deals in particular with the shipwrecks of the Greek archipelago as a researcher-historian, diver and writer.
  • Yiannis Tzavelakos, Head of the Marketing & Sponsoring Committee, Member of the Board of Friends of Kea Society-SFK. Owner-manager of the local Dive Center keadivers.com.
  • Chris Diplas, Head of the Hospitality Program,  Architect and Member of the Board of Friends of Kea Society-SFK. Founder and CEO of the Technical company Tektonarchos SA.
  • Stefanos Psarakis, Treasurer, Member of the Board of Friends of Kea Society-SFK. Ex. President of the Nautical Club of Kea-NAOK and active in the yachting industry [www.alfayachts.gr].
  • Mary Paouri, Event Coordinator & P.A. to the President, Member of the Board of Friends of Kea Society-SFK.
  • Other Team Members are:
    • Nicholas Vasilatos & Helen Tsopouropoulou of the www.wreckdiving.gr organization.
    • Michael Michailakis, creator of the excellent web site hmhsbritannic.weebly.com.
    • Chris Liodakis, Member of Friends of Kea Society-SFK, owner of www.keavillas.gr and www.tospitistihora.gr.
    • Yiannis E. Condellis, Businessman in the Automotive industry [Multipart] and Technical Diver.
    • Costas Anastassiadis, Business Development Manager of Innora Robotics & Automation and active in real estate, as for ex. the Kea Family Homes.
    • Marina Tzialli, Event’s Secretary & Administrative Assistant
  • The Divers Team who will undertake the task of placing the two commemorative plaques on each of the shipwrecks are:
